Environmentalists took part in comprehensive exercises and assessed the emergency preparedness of the services
Comprehensive exercises aimed at working out actions in case of emergency oil spills were held in Nizhnekamsk. The commission included inspectors from the Zakamsky Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The exercises once again proved the willingness of the employees of TANECO Joint Stock Company to take coordinated action to localize and eliminate the spill of petroleum products.
According to legend, a reservoir was destroyed on the territory of the raw materials park. 50,000 cubic meters of petroleum products were spilled. There is a real threat of contamination of the territory.
The complex exercises took place in two stages. At the first stage, the participants worked out notifying all services and departments of an emergency, evacuated personnel and restricted access to the danger zone. At the second stage, the response forces began to eliminate the conditional spill: they cordoned off the territory with special means and stopped the spread of petroleum products. As a result of well-coordinated work, the spill was localized and eliminated.
The exercises were evaluated satisfactorily.
