The snow leopard goes on the ice: the best children's works will decorate the Ak Bars match

27 October 2025, Monday

An exhibition of children's works has arrived at the Tatneft Arena Ice Palace. Today, during the Ak Bars - Admiral match, fans will see not only beautiful hockey, but also vivid creativity — an exhibition of the best works of the winners of the Snow Leopard competition.

During the breaks between periods, drawings, crafts and posters will be presented on the scoreboard and in the lobby area, on which children from five regions of Russia depicted a majestic snow leopard.

It should be recalled that on the International Snow Leopard Day in Kazan, the results of the "Snow Leopard" competition, which was held in support of the national project "Environmental well-being", were summed up. The competition is organized by the Autonomous Non-profit Organization "Scientific Research Center for the Conservation of Biological Diversity "Snow Leopard" with the support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. The jury reviewed more than 600 works from schoolchildren from Tatarstan, Udmurtia, Mordovia, Mari El and Chuvashia. 42 works reached the finals, and 13 were recognized as the best in various categories.

This project is a wonderful symbol of how the image of the leopard unites the whole republic. For Tatarstan, this is not just a predator from the Red Book, but a real symbol of strength, grace and protection. He is depicted on the coat of arms of the republic, embodied in the legendary Ak Bars hockey club, enterprises and public organizations are named after him. And now, thanks to children's creativity, he is also becoming a symbol of environmental responsibility for the younger generation.

The match will start at 19:00 at the Tatneft Arena Ice Sports Palace. All fans will be able to enjoy the work of young artists and support initiatives for the conservation of nature and biodiversity.
