A reception of citizens on environmental welfare issues was held in Arsk. The meeting with the residents was held by Kazan interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor Roman Terekhov, prosecutor of the Arsky district Rinat Karimov and head of the Northern Territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan Lenar Kasimov.

The reception addressed topical environmental issues of concern to residents of the district. One of the issues was a complaint from residents of the village of Kuperbash about the heavy traffic of trucks heading to the quarry for the extraction of common minerals. The country road passing through the settlement is not intended for heavy machinery, which causes legitimate complaints from citizens due to increased noise levels and dusty air. Following the review of the appeal, it was decided to install a road sign prohibiting the movement of trucks through the village.

Residents of the area also raised the issue of pollution of the Kazanka River. During the discussion, possible solutions were considered, including the reconstruction of existing or construction of new biological treatment facilities in the territory of the Arsky district. This issue is under special control due to numerous complaints about the activities of Vodokanal-Service LLC received during the summer period.

During the reception, government representatives explained to citizens the requirements of environmental legislation, the types of responsibility for their violation, as well as the mechanisms for resolving environmental disputes.

"Such meetings serve an important educational function," said Lenar Kasimov, Head of the Northern Territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan. — They not only increase the environmental literacy of the population, but also contribute to strengthening public control over compliance with environmental legislation."
