The best young ecologist was identified today at the Kazan Petrochemical College named after V. P. Lushnikov. The IV International Professional Skills Competition for the title of "Best in profession" among students of secondary vocational education was held here.
54 students from St. Petersburg, Kazan, Cheboksary and participants from the Republic of Kazakhstan competed for the victory.
Olga Manidicheva, Deputy Minister of Ecology, welcomed young professionals at the opening ceremony of the competition:
"We are holding a competition at the petrochemical college, which trains excellent environmental specialists. Graduates become masters of their craft, whom we are always glad to see within the walls of the Ministry of Ecology. Participation in the competition itself speaks to your professionalism and high level of training. I wish you all success!"
Throughout the day, students competed in 7 areas. The competition also identified the best environmental laboratory assistant ("Environmental Protection"). The participants measured the aerodynamic characteristics of the flue using analytical equipment and conducted research in the laboratory.
According to the results of the competition, the winners in the field of "Laboratory ecologist (environmental protection)" were:
I place – Elizaveta Kiriyenko, St. Petersburg Petrovsky College;
II place – Polina Luneva, St. Petersburg Fire and Rescue College;
Third place – Matvey Kudrov, Kazan College of Technology.
The competition helps to improve the skills of young environmental specialists and draw attention to environmental issues, which contributes to achieving the goals of the national project "Environmental well-being".
