Results of the creativity competition “Tatarstan is My Homeland”

On November 29, 2013 in the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan ceremonial rewarding of winners of the republican creativity competition “Tatarstan is My Homeland” will take place.
The competition is held within the framework of the Year of environmental culture protection in the Republic of Tatarstan at the initiative of the Civic Chamber of the Republic of Tatarstan and the regional office of the All-Russian public organization “Center of Environmental Policy and Culture”, while the Technopolis “Himgrad” acts as a co-organizer of the competition. The project is realized with the support and assistance of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Natural History Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan, the State Historical and Architectural and Art memorial estate “Kazan Kremlin”, and the Union of Artists of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The competition started on September 10, 2013. 2500 works from 43 regions of the Republic of Tatarstan were received. Preschool children from kindergartens, pupils of secondary general education schools, boarding schools and children’s homes as well as students of secondary specialized colleges and higher education institutions took part in the competition. 1052 drawings, 514 photo collages, 347 hand-made articles from the recycled materials, 204 social posters, 197 video and audio plots were sent for the competition.100 out of 186 works were in the Tatar language.
Subject to the provisions of the competition, creative works will be estimated by competent jury in 5 categories, in 3 age groups: preschool children, school pupils, students and young specialists. Following the results of the open voting, 45 winners and 30 prize takers will be defined and awarded.

According to good tradition, the Ministry of Ecology hosted a New Year's tree for the children of the department's employees.
Inspectors of the Central Department, together with representatives of the Kazan Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor's Office and the Office of the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography of the Republic of Tatarstan, conducted a survey of the territory of the Zelenodolsk district.
The events were held in the Zainsky district. The commission included inspectors from the Zakamsky Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan received an appeal from residents about violations of environmental legislation in the Yelabuga district. Inspectors from the Kama Department went to the site and confirmed the fact of dumping production and consumption waste into the territory of the Bug River water protection zone.
