An unusual environmental lesson was held at Gymnasium No. 1 in Almetyevsk. It was conducted not by an ordinary teacher, but by Igor Egorov, a participant in a special military operation, who today applies his experience in protecting Tatarstan's nature.
Igor Egorov, a senior specialist at the Southeastern Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, who recently returned from the front line, told the students about the republic's natural treasures and the importance of their preservation. His speech became an example of the continuity of protection – from the borders of the Motherland to the protection of its natural resources.
"Each of us can contribute to the conservation of nature. It is important to remember that clean water and green forests are our common wealth, which must be protected!" – says the participant of the SMO.
The meeting was made possible thanks to the "Batyrlar. Heroes of Tatarstan" program, which helps veterans of their military to find a worthy use of their skills and experience. Igor Egorov's mentor in this program is Alexander Shadrikov, Minister of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, who already met with the hero on July 31.
For Igor Egorov, returning to the environmental sphere was a return to the origins of his professional activity. From 2001 to 2004, he already worked in the Southeastern Department of the Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan, and later in the Department for the Protection and Use of Wildlife of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The students not only got acquainted with the unique biodiversity of the republic, but also received a lesson in patriotism and citizenship from a person for whom the concepts of "protecting the Motherland" and "protecting nature" are inextricably linked.
Let us recall, that "Batyrlar. Heroes of Tatarstan" is a special project for the formation of Tatarstan's personnel reserve from among veterans and participants of its military, which is being implemented on behalf of the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov. Fighters with relevant competencies will have the opportunity to pursue career growth in state or municipal institutions, as well as in other fields.
