The Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan announces the launch of the ECO-leader competition in support of the national Environmental Well-being project
The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan announces that applications for the republican ECO-leader competition in support of the national Environmental Well-being project have been accepted in September. Businesses, educational institutions, public organizations, journalists and all concerned residents are invited to participate.
You can send your applications by November 15 to the email address: Eco.pros@tatar.ru or bring it to the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan at 75 Pavlyukhin str., office 108, Kazan (Department of Environmental Education and Interaction with public organizations).
Three nominations are presented in the field of environmental education: in pre-school educational organizations, in general education organizations and organizations of higher and additional education.
Organizations and individual entrepreneurs can participate in such nominations as protection of water resources, protection of atmospheric air, efficient waste management, and the best project in the field of environmental safety.
Local governments can receive awards for achievements in the field of environmental protection in the territory of municipalities of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as for achievements in the field of environmental protection in rural settlements of the Republic of Tatarstan.
For pedagogical experience and initiatives, you can become an eco-leader for systematic environmental education work in kindergarten, school, and in higher education and continuing education organizations.
Two nominations have been developed for public associations and citizens.
The media will determine the best eco-blogger or videographer, the best TV story, radio story, electronic media material and publication in periodicals.
The award also awaits the best state inspector of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The winners will be awarded in December 2025.
The competition has been held by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan since 2004. Last year, 291 applications were received, of which the largest number came in the competition groups "Environmental Education" and "Pedagogical experience".
The purpose of the competition is to encourage and stimulate organizations, individual entrepreneurs, local self-government bodies, state inspectors of the Republic of Tatarstan, teachers of educational organizations, public associations, citizens, and the media that operate in the Republic of Tatarstan and ensure effective solutions to issues of rational use of natural resources, environmental protection, and environmental safety. The competition is held with the support of the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov.
