On the second day of the XX All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference named after A. I. Shchepovskikh delegates from different regions of Russia got a unique opportunity to see modern environmental monitoring and industrial emissions control systems in action.
As part of a specially organized excursion program, the conference participants visited a number of enterprises in Kazan.
"This format of practical acquaintance with real technologies is one of the most important components of the conference. Theory without practice is dead, so we strive to show colleagues from other regions how environmental control and monitoring systems work at our enterprises," said Olga Manidicheva, Deputy Minister of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan.
After getting acquainted with the AAPCS of the Ministry of Ecology, the delegation went to the site of PJSC Kazanorgsintez, one of the largest chemical enterprises in Russia. Here, the guests saw in action not only an automatic air monitoring station and a mobile laboratory, but also the innovative ecological post "ECOBOT LAB TECH", which is the latest development in the field of automated environmental monitoring.
In the afternoon, the participants visited the Escort Group of Companies and its Sokol-Meteo division. Here, the delegates were shown the full cycle of development and production of meteorological equipment. Of particular interest was the equipment of the Sokol GA line, which is used for high-precision meteorological measurements necessary for environmental monitoring.
The final point of the program was a visit to the MS Service plant, specializing in the production of automatic emission control systems and gas analytical equipment. The participants were shown the entire production process from design to testing of finished products.
"We have seen that Tatarstan has created a truly effective environmental monitoring system that unites the efforts of the state, science and business. It is especially valuable that they not only use modern technologies here, but also develop and produce innovative equipment for environmental control themselves," one of the delegates shared his impressions.
