A large-scale Clean Air campaign is underway in Tatarstan, aimed at reducing the level of air pollution from motor vehicles. The campaign started on June 1 in support of the national project "environmental well-being". As part of the joint work of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, regular inspections of cars for compliance with environmental standards are carried out.

This year's control events covered 19 municipal districts of Tatarstan. Exhaust gas toxicity measurements are carried out using a modern gas analyzer, which makes it possible to objectively assess the condition of vehicles and promptly identify violators.
Explanatory work is carried out with car owners who have been found to be exceeding such violations, and protocols on administrative offenses are drawn up in accordance with the law. Violators face a fine of 500 rubles or a warning.
Comparison with previous years
If we look at the statistics of previous years, we can note a decrease in the proportion of violators. So, in 2024, in the framework of similar raids, excess was detected on average in 2.7% of vehicles. This indicates an increase in the environmental awareness of car owners and the effectiveness of regular preventive measures.
