Inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology took part in a comprehensive oil spill response exercise in the village of Novoe Demkino
Inspectors from the Volga-Kama Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan took part in a comprehensive exercise to confirm the readiness of JSC Tatech to take action to localize and eliminate the maximum estimated volume of oil spill at the site of the pumping station of the DNC Demkino (Aksubayevsky municipal district).
The topic of the exercise is "Actions of personnel, management bodies, forces and means of JSC Tatech, PASF LLC RegionSpas to localize and eliminate an emergency oil spill during the destruction of the RVS-2000 reservoir at the site of the DNC Demkino pumping station of the oil field." Three emergency rescue services and an emergency rescue unit participated in the development of the measures.
The estimated volume of the oil spill was 2,000 cubic meters (1,900 tons). The complex exercise took place in two stages, and included not only theoretical, but also practical elaboration of actions to prevent and eliminate an emergency situation.
As a result of the exercise, the sufficiency of the available forces and means for localization and elimination of the maximum estimated volume of oil spill at the site of the pumping station of the DNC Demkino was confirmed. The Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan notes the high readiness of the participants of the exercise to respond promptly in case of emergencies related to the spill of oil and petroleum products.
