Batteries, give up: more than 700 kilograms of used batteries have been collected in Yelabuga

27 May 2025, Tuesday

The Children's Ecological and Biological Center in Yelabuga organized an eco-challenge to collect spent power sources "Battery, give up" with the support of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan. Two collection points were organized for residents - in Cheburashka Park and in Berezka shopping center.

As a result, Yelabuga residents managed to collect 728 kilograms of used batteries. They will be transferred to Grint's regional municipal solid waste management operator for further processing and disposal.

Yelabuga kindergartens and schools were particularly active in the campaign, and among the residents, the Yamshchikov (47.1 kg), Sankov (81.1 kg), Khayarov (12.4 kg), and Shklyar (21.4 kg) families donated the most batteries.

Waste disposal and recycling is an important contribution to the environmental situation of the region. We would like to thank the Grint regional operator for implementing environmental campaigns in support of the national Environmental Well-being project.
