Minister of Ecology Alexander Shadrikov congratulates on Polar Explorer's Day

21 May 2025, Wednesday

Today we celebrate Polar Explorer's Day, a special holiday for those who have dedicated their lives to exploring the harsh Arctic territories of our great country.

Polar Explorer's Day is a celebration of strong—minded people, for whom the vast expanses of the North and the Arctic have become not just a job, but a part of life. Each of you is writing the story of this harsh but incredibly beautiful land.

It is especially pleasant to note that among the conquerors of the northern latitudes there are our fellow countrymen — natives of Tatarstan. Despite the fact that our republic is far from the Arctic territories, the people of Tatarstan show amazing resilience and courage, choosing this hard work. Your professionalism and dedication make an invaluable contribution to the development of Russia's natural resources and strengthening its potential.

The Arctic is not just a land of resources and strategic routes. This is a kingdom of majestic glaciers, endless tundra and fragile ecosystems. You put your hand to the protection and preservation of the unique nature, studying and caring for it. Your work is not only exploration, but also careful service to the Earth.

I wish you good health, strength and new achievements. May every day bring the joy of discovery, and may your efforts multiply the glory of the Motherland. Happiness, health and well-being to you and your families!

Alexander Shadrikov, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.
