The meeting dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory was held in the walls of the Geocenter of the Republic of Tatarstan
The Geocenter of the Republic of Tatarstan hosted an event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The staff of the institution honored the memory of the heroes who gave their lives for our freedom and prosperity.
Mars Valiev, Director of the Geocenter, emphasized in his speech: "This year we all pay tribute to those who gave their lives for the benefit and prosperity of future generations." Honorary geologist Ravil Sadikov presented the report "Little-known works that ensured Victory."
For the memorable date, the staff prepared a mini-exhibition "Immortal Regiment", where they posted photos and stories of their family heroes. Olga Glukhova shared that in 2023, thanks to archival data on the Internet, she managed to find the burial place of her grandfather, who died near Rzhev. Now she continues to search for information about other relatives who disappeared during the war.
The event ended with a minute of silence in memory of the fallen, after which the participants of the meeting jointly performed wartime songs dedicated to Victory Day. The meeting was not only a tribute to the heroes, but also a reminder of the importance of preserving historical facts for future generations.
