A large unauthorized landfill of construction waste has been identified in Chistopol
Specialists of the Ministry of Ecology discovered a large-scale waste dump in the Chistopolsky district during aerial monitoring.
Inspectors of the Volga-Kama Territorial Administration conducted a thorough inspection of the territory of the former quarry on Engels Street in the city of Chistopol. Unauthorized storage of hazard class 4 waste with a total volume of 893 cubic meters was detected on a plot of almost 9,000 m2.
Discovered in a landfill:
- construction and repair debris
- wood waste from demolition of buildings
According to the results of the inspection, the Chistopol City Executive Committee was issued a warning about the inadmissibility of violating environmental legislation with the requirement to promptly eliminate the landfill.
The Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan reminds of the need to comply with the rules of waste management of construction and demolition. The placement of such waste outside specialized landfills entails administrative responsibility.
