Inspectors from the Zavolzhsky Department told about migratory birds at the "Starlings have arrived" event at the Svetoforik kindergarten in Buinsk. Preschoolers learned about the characteristics of these birds, how they fly and when they return to their native lands.
The "Starlings have arrived" campaign is aimed at increasing and preserving the number of species of birds. To help with this, the children and their parents made birdhouses, presented them at the "Waiting for you, Birds" exhibition and hung them on the garden grounds. Now children will be able to feed migratory and wintering birds on walks.
Environmentalists hold meetings with children to increase their general knowledge of nature and the environment, which helps support the goals of the national Environmental Well-being project.
