50 collection points for spent batteries will be opened in Tatarstan within the framework of the sanitary and ecological two-month period
On April 1, together with the sanitary and ecological two-month period, a campaign to collect batteries was launched. Kindergarten students and students of general education organizations, as well as kindergartens and schools in the Republic of Tatarstan, can take part in it. During the campaign, it is necessary to collect spent power sources and bring all the collected batteries to the base collection points from May 26 to May 31. Such collection points, and there will be more than 50 of them in Tatarstan, will be organized in each municipality. It will also be possible to donate batteries to the territorial departments of the Ministry of Ecology.

Let us recall that the campaign to collect spent power sources has been conducted by the Ministry since 2019. Its goal is to involve children and adults in the separate collection of MSW, as well as to increase environmental literacy of the population in support of the national project "Environmental well–being".
This year, the campaign to collect spent batteries is being conducted by the Ministry of Ecology in cooperation with the regional operator Grint LLC, National Environmental Company LLC and the Executive Committees of Municipalities of the Republic of Tatarstan.
