After an appeal from residents about the discharge of wastewater in Nizhnekamsk, inspectors from the Zakamsky department promptly went to the scene of the violation. They identified the discharge of sewage from a car wash on Mendeleev Street. Environmentalists took samples of water and soil.

According to the results of the study, exceedances of the maximum permissible concentrations in the soil for petroleum products, ammonium ion, nitrate nitrogen and nitrite nitrogen were revealed.

The total area of contamination was 47 square meters with a penetration depth of 20 cm. The inspectors calculated the damage in the amount of 240 thousand rubles. The legal entity refused to voluntarily compensate for the damage caused to the soils. Then the environmentalists sent a statement of claim to the Arbitration Court.

The court upheld the demands of the Ministry and issued a decision to recover damages from the violator in the amount of 240 thousand rubles.
