Readiness assessed: comprehensive oil spill response exercises were held in Nizhnekamsk
Inspectors from the Zakamsky Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, as part of the commission, took part in comprehensive exercises to confirm the readiness of PJSC Nizhnekamskneftekhim for actions to localize and eliminate the maximum estimated volume of oil spill. The training took place on the territory of the enterprise in Nizhnekamsk.
According to legend, as a result of the depressurization of the tank, the destruction and release of oil products in the amount of 30 thousand cubic meters (18,900 tons) occurred, the oil product partially leaked beyond the collapse. The participants conducted a reconnaissance of the spill site, cordoned off the emergency zone and stopped the spread of petroleum products.
Minor comments were given, and the actions were positively evaluated by the commission.
