The Supreme Court of the Republic of Tatarstan ordered the violator to liquidate a landfill near the Stepnoy Zai River in Almetyevsk
Inspectors of the South-Eastern Department left on an appeal about unauthorized waste disposal in Almetyevsk along Zai Street. During the inspection of the territory, a landfill of construction waste was identified in the water protection zone of the Steppe Zai River. The waste discharge area was 320 sq.m.
The inspectors calculated the damage caused to the soil in the amount of 131 thousand rubles.
The owner of the territory turned out to be an individual. A claim was sent to the violator for compensation for damage caused to the environment and the need to eliminate unauthorized waste disposal.
The violator did not fulfill the claim voluntarily. Environmentalists filed a lawsuit with the Supreme Court of the Republic of Tatarstan. The court ordered the owner to compensate for the damage in the amount of 131 thousand rubles and eliminate the unauthorized disposal of waste.
