From 3 to 6 February, the regional stage of the All–Russian championship movement in professional skills "Professionals" in the competence "Environmental protection - Juniors" is taking place on the basis of Zelenodolsk gymnasium No. 5. This large-scale event, organized by the Kazan Petrochemical College named after V. P. Lushnikov, brought together nine young participants from Zelenodolsk district and Kazan on the competition site.
Kazan Petrochemical College, being a specialized competence center for environmental protection since 2020, actively promotes the development of professional skills in this field. The main industrial partner of the College is the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. As Olga Manidicheva, Deputy Minister of Ecology, noted at the opening of the competition today, the main goal is to popularize the Professionals movement and involve schoolchildren in solving environmental problems. "We are very pleased to support this important event aimed at educating the younger generation of specialists in the field of environmental protection. The participation of schoolchildren in the Professionals championship is not only an opportunity to show their knowledge and skills, but also a contribution to the future of our planet. I wish all participants good luck and success!" the Deputy Minister of Ecology greeted the participants.
Over the course of 3 days, nine expert mentors will evaluate the contest entries. The main expert at the site will be a college lecturer, Rustam Muslimov.
The regional stage of the Professionals Championship in the field of Environmental Protection – Juniors is another significant step in the development of environmental education in the Republic of Tatarstan within the framework of the national project "Environmental well-being" and an incentive for future specialists in the field of environmental protection.
