Today, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Tatarstan hosted a traditional New Year's Eve meeting with journalists. In two and a half hours, the Minister of Ecology, Alexander Shadrikov, spoke about the global challenges that the department faced several years ago and how they have now been solved. In terms of numbers, 71.8 billion rubles have been allocated to environmental protection measures in the republic over the past seven years. More than 40 billion are funds from enterprises, and 30 billion are funds from the federal and republican budgets. Due to these funds (30 billion), possible damage of 77.1 billion rubles was prevented. Every ruble invested has paid off doubly. In the 6 years since the launch of the Ecology national project, 30 events totaling 21.6 billion rubles have been implemented within the framework of 6 federal projects.
"The main thing for us is the well-being of our residents. We are working together with you to achieve this. And you are our like-minded people in this matter!" - said the Minister of Ecology.
He named the largest measures implemented under the national project: the reclamation of the Samosyrovsky landfill (2021-2023), the dismantling of the Lake Pipeline (2022-2023), and the reclamation of the silt fields in Kazan.
17 billion rubles were invested in environmental protection measures in Kazan alone. 13.5 billion is from the federal budget.
Alexander Shadrikov noted that the national Ecology project is being replaced by a new national Environmental well-being project. The inclusion of 8 events of the Republic of Tatarstan for a total amount of 2.6 billion rubles has been preliminarily agreed. The federal project "Water of Russia", which will combine the projects "Improving the Volga River" and "Preserving unique water bodies", has agreed to include the second stage of clearing the Melekeska River in Naberezhnye Chelny and measures to clear the Noksa riverbed.
