An obstacle to free access to the Menzelya River was identified by inspectors of the Zakamsky territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology in the village of Sarmanovo. 5 meters from the water's edge, the owner of a nearby plot erected a fence, which violated the requirements of the Water Code of the Russian Federation.
Any territory located at a distance of 20 meters from the water is a place of common use, environmentalists explain. The coastal strips can be freely used by any person to move and stay near them, including for fishing and mooring boats.
In relation to the violator, the inspectors issued a warning, and then a claim of compulsion to eliminate the violation. Failure to take action became the reason for further recourse to the court.
Only after consideration and adjudication of the claim in the Sarmanovsky district Court, the fence was dismantled.
