1 November 2024, Friday

The Federal Agency for Water Resources held a meeting of the Interdepartmental Working Group on regulating the operating modes of reservoirs of the Volga-Kama cascade.

Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Almaz Tugushev took part in the meeting on behalf of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The operating modes were set for the period from November 1 to December 10.

It was decided to increase discharge costs in order to prepare the Kuibyshev reservoir for the winter period, which includes winter pre-water treatment. It starts in late autumn and lasts all winter. During this period, there is a gradual decrease in the level and preparation of the reservoir bed for receiving meltwater. The expected decrease in the reservoir level is carried out within the limits of the regulatory marks and by the end of the period will be about 51.0 m BS.

Instructions from Rosvodresursy on the establishment of operating modes for reservoirs of the Volga-Kama cascade will be posted on the official website of Rosvodresursy.
