Representatives of various departments and services, including specialists from the Priiksky Department of the Ministry of Ecology, took part in the exercises.
According to the proposed scenario, the cause of the conditional spill was the wear of one of the sections of the pipeline, which led to the release of 1,945 cubic meters of oil. The training conditions were as close as possible to the real situations that specialists may face in the event of such incidents.
In three hours, rescue services and representatives of the Tyurino linear station of the Transneft Ural company conducted a detailed reconnaissance of the site of the simulated accident. The boundaries and volumes of the spill were determined, possible risks were assessed, including the presence of explosive concentrations and exceeding the permissible level of harmful substances in the air.
With the help of special means and equipment, the emergency zone was cordoned off, and the distribution of petroleum products was stopped. Thanks to the coordinated actions of the participants, the conditional spill was successfully localized and eliminated.
It should be noted that such exercises play an important role in the training of specialists and allow us to test the effectiveness of interaction between various structures and services involved in the elimination of the consequences of oil spills.
