Volunteer movements and organizations of Tatarstan can become part of the project "Ambassadors of Rivers"
The Center for Environmental Solutions and Environmental Protection "Ecologizer" invites you to join the interregional project "Ambassadors of Rivers". This is a new, improved format of the Cover for Algae project, which will be of interest to environmentally oriented non-profit organizations, volunteer movements, regional operators and other interested organizations.
The project aims to promote separate waste collection, as well as to draw public attention to the problem of plastic pollution and river waterlogging. The practice implemented in the Saratov and Samara regions was supported three times by the Presidential Grants Fund and recommended by the Commission on Ecology and Natural Resources of the State Council of the Russian Federation for replication in other regions of Russia.
As part of the program, artificial stocking by herbivorous fish is carried out to filter and clean the Volga, environmental awareness events and actions to collect plastic lids are carried out. The collected plastic is sent for recycling, and with the proceeds, fry of herbivorous fish species (carp, white amur, silver carp) are purchased and released into the Volga.
