The operating modes of the reservoirs of the Volga-Kama cascade were set for the period from 08/11/2024 to 09/10/2024. In 2024, in general, a favorable hydrological situation is developing at the Kuibyshev reservoir within the Republic of Tatarstan.

As of 08.08.2024, the level of the Kuibyshev reservoir is 52.74 m BS in the upper reaches of the hydroelectric complex, 52.66 m BS – along the Upper Uslon hydropost.

During the period from 07/11/2024 to 08/06/2024, the level of the Kuibyshev reservoir decreased by 30 cm from 53.02 m BS to 52.72 m BS.

Since July 11, in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Energy from 07/11/2024, the Kuibyshev reservoir hydroelectric power plant has been operating with discharge rates of 6000 ± 200 cubic meters/s.

In order to save water resources of the Kuibyshev reservoir for the coming period, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan proposed to reduce discharge costs through the Kuibyshev reservoir hydroelectric complex to 5000-5200 cubic meters/s.

The modes of operation of hydroelectric reservoirs for the period from 08/11/2024 to 09/10/2024 will be published on the official website of Rosvodresursy.
