The II All–Russian student Environmental Festival "Yashel Adym - Green Step 2024" started in Almetyevsk. Here, on the basis of Almetyevsk State Technological University "Higher School of Petroleum", 120 students from Tatarstan, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Samara Region, Stavropol Territory, Bashkortostan, Dagestan, Ivanovo, Volgograd, Novosibirsk regions, Crimea and Udmurtia joined together. Within 4 days, they will receive trainings, panel discussions, master classes, as well as solving cases aimed at preserving the environment.
Olga Artemyeva, Head of the Department of Environmental Education and Interaction with Public Organizations of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, also took part in the opening ceremony of the festival, and Elena Zakirova, head of the Department of Environmental Monitoring of the Ministry, met with the participants of the lecture "Monitoring of Water Resources". The participants were told in detail about the territorial system of monitoring water bodies in Tatarstan, controlled parameters, the number of samples taken and the quality of surface waters in the republic.
Speaking, Olga Artemyeva stressed that today ecology has ceased to be just a science, ecology is a trend, a lifestyle: "It is important for us that everyone can contribute to the preservation of the environment. It is much easier to do this among like-minded people, and such festivals allow you to find friends of interest all over Russia."
On the first day of the festival, the teams completed quests and educational modules on 3 tracks: Energoboom, Eco-air, Eco-wave. As part of the activities, the most active teams are awarded tokens. The winners with the highest number of awards in one of the directions will receive a rolling festival cup.
