As part of the Year of the Family in Russia, employees of the Ministry of Ecology and their children arrived at the Wild Farm Eco-park. They got acquainted with the red Book spotted deer and Altai marals. They are bred on a farm and then released into the wild to increase the population of animals from the Red Book. Now there are about 200 spotted deer, 100 marals and 80 rabbits in the eco-park.
The place in the Rybno-Slobodsky district of Tatarstan was not chosen by chance. 200 years ago, European deer were found here. In 2015, 46 individuals were brought from Altai and decided to create a unique eco-tourism complex. The animals liked the area and they settled down in the former village of Stepanovka.
"This is the highest point in Tatarstan, where deer are comfortable. They can safely walk in the forest and breathe the fresh mountain air. Moreover, there are 60 hectares of fenced territory in their possessions," the guides of the eco-park told.
The first release of deer into the wild took place in 2017 jointly with the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan. The second issue is three years later in 2020. More than 50 deer have been living in the wild.
After the tour and feeding the animals, everyone was waiting for activity. The children participated in the local sabantuy, jumped in bags and played badminton. The adults competed in who would roll a large haystack faster and strolled to the spring. And everyone, without exception, enjoyed the concert of local artists.
In the end, a family photo shoot was organized against the backdrop of picturesque landscapes. Everyone took home souvenirs, colorful photos and pleasant memories.
