The Kuibyshev reservoir is filled to a normal retaining level, but due to the abnormal heat, it was decided to increase discharge costs

The Federal Agency for Water Resources held a regular meeting of the Interdepartmental Working Group on regulating the operating modes of reservoirs of the Volga-Kama cascade.

The meeting was attended by members of the working group, including representatives of the territorial bodies of Rosvodresursy, Rosrybolovstvo, Rosmorrechflot, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia, Roshydromet, Rostechnadzor, JSC SO UES, PJSC RusHydro, JSC Tatenergo, and executive authorities of subjects located within the borders of the Volga-The Kama basin.

The operating modes of the reservoirs of the Volga-Kama cascade were set for the period from July 13 to August 10.

As of July 10, the Kuibyshev reservoir is filled to a normal retaining level of 52.97 m BS.

Due to the abnormally hot weather and an increase in energy consumption, at the request of a representative of JSC SO UES, expenses through the Kuibyshev and Volgogradsky fields have been increased.

According to the instructions of Rosvodresursy dated 07/11/2024, the operating mode of the Kuibyshev reservoir hydroelectric power plant is set at an average daily discharge rate of 6,000 ± 200 cubic meters/s. Let us recall that in June, discharge costs through the Kuibyshev reservoir hydroelectric complex were set in the amount of 5500-6000 cubic meters/s.

The established operating mode of the Kuibyshev reservoir hydroelectric complex assumes a gradual (about 1-1.5 cm/day) decrease in the level of the Kuibyshev reservoir during the month.
