Artem Sidorov headed the Federation of Canoe and Baidarka Rowing in Tatarstan

The conference of founders of the Regional Sports Public Association “Federation of Canoe and Baidarka Rowing in the Republic of Tatarstan” was held at the Rowing Center. In the framework of the event, members of the conference – sports veterans, regional representatives, and coaches – unanimously voted for creation of the federation of canoe and baidarka rowing in the Republic. The Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov was unanimously elected President of the Federation.
As it was noted by the Minister for Youth Affairs, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan Rafis Burganov, the rowing topic is not new for Artem Sidorov. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan regularly monitored water in Kaban Lake during preparation and holding of competitions in the course of the World Summer Universiade 2013.
Election of presidium and approval of the final Articles of Association will take place in November.

As part of the new national project "Environmental well-being" Tatarstan has planned the implementation of 8 environmental initiatives with total funding of 3 billion rubles. The main part of the funds will be used for work on the federal project "Water of Russia", Minister of Ecology Azat Ziganshin said at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan.

As part of the monitoring of the territory of Naberezhnye Chelny, inspectors of the Kama Department revealed a violation of environmental legislation.
