Happy Polar Explorer's Day, dear friends!
Polar Explorer's Day is a celebration of millions of people for whom the North and the Arctic have become their homeland, where they live, work, and raise children. These are scientists, researchers, geologists, builders, sailors, pilots, military personnel who have devoted their lives to the development of this land of ice, snow and polar nights.
The study of this harsh region of the Earth is very important for our country. The richest reserves of natural resources, waterways and research stations are concentrated here, the fragile ecological balance of the entire planet is preserved here, and the wealth of the animal and plant world of Russia is multiplying.
We are proud of the heroic history of conquering the polar latitudes, respect and remember the titanic work of many generations of polar explorers-pioneers! Thank you for your courage and bravery, fortitude and sincere love for the boundless polar expanses, for the hard daily work necessary for the Motherland.
I wish you good health, good luck and new successes. Always be the first in the far north and the far south! I wish you happiness and prosperity!
