In April, inspectors of the Central Department of the Ministry identified a huge landfill in the Vvedenskoye-Slobodskoye rural settlement of the Verkhneuslonsky district of Tatarstan. Together with representatives of the Executive Committee of Innopolis, an on-site survey of the territory was conducted.
Debris from demolition and dismantling of buildings, municipal waste, debris from construction and repair work were found on a huge area. Reinforced concrete piles were illegally stored here.
The inspectors found that access and passage to the land plot where the landfill was found is possible only through the territory of the concrete plant located near. Presumably, the waste was imported through the territory of this plant, as evidenced by the concrete piles found at the site.
The state inspectors of the Ministry, using satellite geodetic equipment, measured the area of unauthorized waste disposal. The area was 1,517 hectares. Previously, unauthorized waste disposal is carried out on a land plot without a cadastral number.
In order to clarify the status and permitted use of the land plot where the waste was placed, requests were sent to the Executive Committee of Innopolis and the Executive Committee of the Verkhneuslonsky district.
On May 3, the Ministry received a response from the Executive Committee of the Verkhneuslonsky district that the territory belongs to the lands of the forest fund. A request has been sent to the Management Company "PZhKH" for the availability of contracts for the export of MSW from the concrete plant. Now the territory is being put in order, the cleaning process is underway.
