The Ministry of Ecology hosted a meeting of the Minister of Ecology Alexander Shadrikov with representatives of the delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The meeting was held within the framework of the International Economic Forum "Russia — the Islamic World: KazanForum". It was attended by the khokim of Tashkent region Zoir Mirzaev, the khokim of Chirchik Muratjon Abdurakhimov, the head of the territorial department of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tashkent region Abdurasul Abdukhalilov and the head of the press service of the khokimiyat of Tashkent region Bekzod Kabulov. The invited guests of the meeting were Rafinat Yarullin, General Director of Tatneftekhiminvest Holding JSC, and Renat Khalapov, General Director of PKF SINGER LLC.

Welcoming the guests, Alexander Shadrikov briefly spoke about the main activities of the environmental protection agency – environmental monitoring, supervision, subsoil use, environmental education and activities under the national Ecology project. Alexander Shadrikov stressed that the republican department is ready to share its best practices, in particular, he spoke about the pilot project of Tatarstan for the reclamation of the Samosyrovsky landfill, where an active degassing system has been introduced, which allows processing harmful landfill gas into useful electricity. The reclamation was completed within the framework of the federal project "Clean Country" of the national project "Ecology". The parties discussed possible points of contact and joint projects.

Let us recall that these days the XV International Economic Forum "Russia — the Islamic World: KazanForum" is taking place at the site of the Kazan Expo IEC. The large-scale event will last six days and will end on May 19.

The forum's program is divided into 12 sections, including international cooperation, sports, Islamic finance and investment, tourism, culture, business, economics, personnel, science and technology.
