From May 12 to May 15, the base of the Baitik camp (village of Krutushka) the VIII Republican Forum of youth environmental organizations "ECO-wave" is taking place. The
forum is aimed at developing cooperation between children's and youth public organizations and associations of the Republic of Tatarstan in the field of ensuring a favorable environment by introducing them to the environmental agenda of the Republic of Tatarstan.
152 representatives from 72 children's and youth associations of the Republic of Tatarstan take part in the forum. These are young environmental scientists, specialists of enterprises, students of specialized fields.
Within the framework of the Forum, educational and discussion environmental platforms, lectures, meetings with opinion leaders are held for participants, and events are planned to share experiences with representatives of environmental youth organizations.
During the implementation of the educational program of the forum, the following current topics will be considered: the economy of a closed cycle, the history of environmental protection in the Republic of Tatarstan, specially protected natural territories of the republic, the importance of ecology in human health and environmental self-realization of youth.
The key event of the forum will be the holding of the full-time stage of the III Republican contest of environmental associations of the Republic of Tatarstan "About ecology to each other". Following the results of the competition, financial support will be provided for the implementation of projects. The competition will be held in the following areas: environmental protection, animal welfare, environmental education.
At the plenary session of the Forum, participants will be able to address experts with their initiatives aimed at protecting the environment and improving environmental culture among young people.
Today, Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Egor Tarnavsky spoke at the opening of the Forum: "I thank each of you for giving your attention and time to the environment. Together, we have been holding the Eco-wave forum for several years, organizing practical events, cleaning up territories and educating others. I am sure that all our efforts contribute to increasing the environmental awareness of the population"
Let us recall that the organizers of the Forum and the Competition are the Regional Youth Public Organization "It will be Clean" of the Republic of Tatarstan with the support of the Tatarstan branch of the Russian Ecological Society and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.
