Inspectors remind you that voluntary compensation for environmental damage will help to avoid lawsuits

State inspectors of the Ministry, in case of violations of mandatory requirements of environmental legislation and harm to environmental components, send demands for voluntary compensation of harm to violators within 30 days.

For example, this year, 5 damages were voluntarily reimbursed to citizens and legal entities for a total amount of 375,776.01 rubles.

However, in the absence of voluntary compensation for the damage caused, the Ministry takes further measures — sending statements of claim to the court, and after the court maintains the position of the Ministry — sending bailiffs to apply enforcement measures.
