Water bodies are under special control during the flood period
Today, at a briefing with journalists, the Minister of Ecology noted that a two-month period always falls during the flood period. Therefore, water bodies are under special control. "First of all, the special control is on the location of livestock waste and storage of agrochemicals. In the spring, these places are a risk zone for water pollution. Let me remind you that the placement of waste and storage of fertilizers in the water protection zone is not allowed by the Water Code, and may lead to fines," the Minister of Ecology noted.
He recalled the pollution of the Bukla River by livestock waste. Then the drains came from the enterprise of federal supervision "Kamsky bacon". On the part of the Ministry, the multimillion-dollar damage caused to the water body was calculated. The information was transferred under the jurisdiction of Rosprirodnadzor. A large number of complaints about atmospheric air pollution have also been received in relation to this enterprise (since the beginning of the year there have been 27).
Another important aspect for the flood period and not only is the level of the Kuibyshev reservoir. According to the forecast of Roshydromet, the amount of snow reserves at the end of March was only 91%, and not 127% as previously stated. The inflow of water into the reservoirs of the Volga-Kama cascade is projected from 97 to 116%. The level of the Kuibyshev reservoir in the area of Kazan on the first of April is 50.94 m according to the Baltic system.
Tomorrow, Rosvodresursy will host a regular meeting of the interdepartmental working group on regulating the modes of operation of reservoirs. The Minister of Ecology Alexander Shadrikov will take part in it.
