As part of the events dedicated to the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the establishment of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Deputy Minister of Ecology Olga Manidicheva took part in the round table "Ecology of industrial megacities: how to ensure the well-being of the habitat for the population of large cities." In her speech, she noted that one of the growth drivers for ensuring the well-being of residents is the national Ecology project initiated by Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. The Decade of Science, designated by the country's leader, provides a unique opportunity for technological advancement to solve the most difficult tasks, including environmental safety issues.

"In the year of scientific and technological development in Tatarstan, announced by the President of the Republic Rustam Nurgalievich Minnikhanov, the Ministry continues close cooperation with the scientific community.  Only such an approach can ensure the adoption of verified informed decisions," the Deputy Minister of Ecology noted.

The coordinator of the round table was the head of the scientific direction of the Institute of Organic and Physical Chemistry named after A. E. Arbuzov of the Kazan Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences Oleg Sinyashin.

Let us recall that in 2019, the Ministry of Ecology signed an agreement with a Consortium of Institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Oleg Sinyashin acted as coordinator of the Consortium of Institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences. In 2022, cooperation with the scientific community was expanded by the signing of an Agreement between the Ministry of Ecology and the Scientific Council of the Russian Academy of Sciences on Global Environmental Issues. This is the only Agreement of this kind in the Russian Federation.
