The acceptance of applications for the national award "Crystal Compass" is coming to an end
The competition for the national award "Crystal Compass" has been held 12 times already. This prestigious international award is given for outstanding achievements of our time and unique projects in the field of science and culture, expeditionary and educational activities, industry and public life aimed at the development of our country, increasing its national heritage and intellectual wealth. The award is held annually under the umbrella of the Russian Geographical Society.
Teams of scientific and educational institutions, creative unions, domestic and foreign organizations, enterprises of various fields, as well as independent initiative groups, public figures and individuals can apply for participation in the competition.
The winners are determined in 11 nominations:
- "Scientific achievement";
- "Enlightenment";
- "The best social information project for the preservation of natural and historical and cultural heritage";
- "The best environmental project of industrial enterprises and businesses";
- "Travel and Expedition";
- "The best news outlet project, media project";
- "Edition";
- "Photo work";
- "Civil position";
- "The best regional project".
The winner of the special nomination "Public Recognition" will be chosen by popular Internet voting.
