The First Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan thanked the staff of the Ministry of Ecology for their dedication and gave a final assessment of the activities within the board of the department.
He noted that since 2019, within the framework of the national project "Ecology", 30 events worth 17.6 billion rubles have been implemented in the republic.
"Tatarstan is one of the most water-rich regions in the Volga Federal District. According to the results of monitoring and control of water bodies, there is a decrease in the excess of pollutants in water samples. One of the main causes of pollution of water bodies is the operation of sewage treatment plants. Along with the measures for their repair and reconstruction, it is necessary to restore order in the work of existing facilities," said Rustam Nigmatullin.
He instructed the heads of districts to strengthen control over sewage treatment plants and noted that providing the population with high-quality drinking water is in the area of special attention of the republic's leadership.
"This year, it is necessary to complete the implementation of a comprehensive program to audit water intakes in the territory of municipal districts of the republic," Rustam Nigmatullin instructed. It should be noted that such work, on behalf of the Head of Tatarstan Rustam Nurgalievich Minnikhanov, has been conducted since 2021 by the institution of "Geocenter" State Institution subordinate to the Ministry of Ecology. The result of the audit will be a strategic water supply scheme for all regions of Tatarstan. 29 municipal districts have already been surveyed.
Rustam Nigmatullin also noted the work of the Ministry of Ecology within the framework of the interdepartmental working group on regulating the modes of operation of reservoirs of the Volga-Kama cascade. Environmentalists defended the interests of the Middle Volga in 2023. At the end of his speech, the speaker thanked the staff of the department for their work and dedication to their chosen profession.
"I want to thank the entire staff of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, personally Alexander Valeryevich, you for your hard and selfless work and dedication to your work. Taking care of the environment today is the key to a healthy future generation."
