The creation of a Government Commission was proposed by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation in accordance with the instructions of the Government of the Russian Federation.
The draft resolution provides for the formation of a Government Commission for the development of water management complexes of the Volga and Don river basins, which is supposed to include representatives of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia, the Ministry of Energy of Russia, the Ministry of Construction of Russia, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, the Ministry of Transport of Russia, the Ministry of Finance of Russia, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, Rosreestr, Rosmorrechflot, Rosrybolovstvo, Roshydromet, Rosvodresursov, Rosprirodnadzor and the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation.
This commission is being created in order to take additional measures aimed at creating conditions for balanced water consumption in low-water conditions in the basins of the Volga and Don rivers, solving issues of seasonal sectoral redistribution of water output from reservoirs of the Volga-Kama cascade and the Tsimlyansk reservoir, planning and determining optimal watering regimes of the Lower Volga in the spring period.
Let us recall that the Republic of Tatarstan has made constructive proposals in the direction of rational use of water resources.
Appeals were sent from the Republic of Tatarstan to the head of Rosvodresursy, Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin.
Also, the issue of low water in the Kuibyshev reservoir by the Republic of Tatarstan was considered by the State Duma of the Russian Federation under the chairmanship of Vyacheslav Viktorovich Volodin, including the Committee on Ecology, Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the State Duma, where the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexander Shadrikov spoke about the most economical approach to the use of water resources.
