The Northern Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan summed up the results of the Republican competition for the collection of spent power sources. Schools and kindergartens of the Baltasinsky district took part in it. Together, the residents collected 1,139 kilograms of batteries. Most of the spent power sources were collected by the Baltasinsky school. The guys handed over 313 kg of batteries for recycling. The second kindergarten became the leader among kindergartens. They brought 186 kg of spent power sources. Inspectors of the Northern Department believe that such an active participation of children of the Baltasinsky district became possible due to the eco-habits that parents, teachers and ecologists of the district instill in children from an early age.
"The eco-culture that we bring to the masses helps us to educate real helpers. The guys already know how to handle waste safely and efficiently. Today, almost every kindergarten and school have containers for collecting batteries, and not only children, but also adults can donate power sources. At each eco-lesson, we tell the guys why it is so important to properly sort waste," said Aliya Shaimullina, inspector of the Northern Territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan.
