The results of the 10th anniversary season of the action "Water of Russia" of the national project "Ecology" will be summed up this Sunday
On December 3, the award ceremony of the leading regions of the All-Russian campaign "Water of Russia" will take place at the International Exhibition-Forum "Russia" in Moscow. Here they will name those who spent the most clean-up days and collected the most garbage, cleaning the banks of rivers and reservoirs.
The All-Russian campaign to clean the shores of water bodies "Water of Russia" has been held within the framework of the national project "Ecology" (initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin) since 2014 and is expanding its geography every year. During the existence of the campaign, hundreds of thousands of people went out to clean up, and 10.9 million bags of garbage were collected from the shores of reservoirs. This year alone, 1,576,711 people went out to clean up in all regions of Russia, 38,459.4 km of shores were cleared and 1,847,737 bags of garbage were collected.
As the Minister of Ecology of Tatarstan noted, Tatarstan has a particularly reverent attitude towards this campaign, more and more residents are joining such environmental volunteering: "The person who goes out to clean the coastlines, will never litter. The cleanliness of our water bodies and shores depends on each of us. The republic has been participating in the campaign since 2019, and we have already won twice - in 2021 and 2022. But victory is not the main thing, our main task is to restore order so that it is always clean where we live. Ecology unites us!"
