In Zelenodolsk district, work continues on clearing the riverbed of the Bag in the village of Ivanovskoye. Work began in June of this year. The project provides for excavation of bottom sediments to clear the riverbed, uprooting of trees and shrubs, the formation of slopes and compensation for damage to fish stocks. At the moment, the main stage is underway, 750 meters of the river have already been cleared, in total, 2 kilometers of the river will have to be cleared by 2025.
The day before, the progress of work on the river was inspected by the Head of the Department of Economics and Project Activities of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilnur Nasretdinov. The survey was also attended by Artem Artemyev, Head of the Water Resources Department of the Rosvodresurs Department for the Republic of Tatarstan, Alexey Polyushkov, Deputy Director for Construction of the GBU "Geocenter", representatives of the contractor JSC "Trust Company "Tatmelioration". The works are carried out to prevent the negative impact of water during a flood and to eliminate its consequences. Now work on dredging of bottom sediments is continuing at the facility.
"Today we inspected the work area, received information from the contractor about the amount of work that has already been done. The work is being carried out qualitatively, today everything is on schedule, the work planned for this year has already been completed by 80%," said Ilnur Nasretdinov, Head of the Department of Economics and Project Activities of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Let us recall that the event is held through the Federal Agency for Water Resources as part of the implementation of measures to prevent the negative impact of water and eliminate its consequences in relation to water bodies – this is one of the key areas of the State Program "Reproduction and Use of Natural Resources". The program is aimed at creating a comfortable environment for the population and reducing the negative impact of water on housing and social infrastructure. The planned deadlines for the implementation of the Sumka riverbed clearing measures are 2023-2025. The total cost of the event is 19.6 million rubles, the length of the clearing is 2 km. According to the results of the project, more than 150 people will be protected from the negative impact of the waters of the Sumka River.
