The project of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan will fight for the "Crystal Compass"

The Crystal Compass is a national award in the field of geography, ecology, preservation and popularization of the natural and historical and cultural heritage of Russia. It is held under the auspices of the Russian Geographical Society with the support of the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives. The winners are chosen among the authors of unique projects aimed at preserving the natural and historical and cultural heritage of Russia. For 10 years, an authoritative jury has evaluated more than 3 thousand works and unique achievements from 44 countries. This year, applications from 11 countries of the world are competing for the victory. Our republic presented 5 works, including the project of the Ministry of Ecology on the reintroduction of Saker falcons.

Let us recall that this year the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan launched a unique project to revive Saker falcons - a rare bird species that is listed in the Red Books of the International Union for Conservation of Nature, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan. The chicks were settled in the Kamsko-Ustinsky district of the republic.
