From May 18 to May 20, the VII Republican Forum of Youth Environmental Organizations "ECO Wave" was held in the health camp "Baitik". The forum was attended by 143 eco-activists from 27 districts and 63 environmental organizations of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Within the framework of the forum, educational and discussion platforms, experience exchange events and meetings with experts were organized for the participants. The features of the events were 2 tracks: "Scientific trends in ecology" and "Social ecology". The guests of the educational platforms were employees of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, representatives of universities, youth movements and public organizations of the Republic. Also, in addition to educational platforms, an intellectual game "Cruise from Volga to Volga" was held, where activists learned interesting facts and features of the great Russian Volga River in a game format. Activists were also with the residents of Kazan at one "Eco-wave", they took part in a clean-up within the framework of the All-Russian "Water of Russia" campaign of the federal project "Preservation of unique water bodies" of the national project "Ecology". The guys cleared the Volga bank. And at the master classes they learned how to sew shoe covers, make postcards from recycled paper, decorate eco-bags and learned the basics of neurography.
During the forum, activists traditionally presented their environmental initiatives aimed at protecting the environment and improving environmental culture among young people. "Every year the projects of the forum become more vital and really important, without losing their novelty and respect for nature," said Damir Valiullin, Head of the Department of Information Systems and Environmental Education of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, who joined the jury.
The "Eco Wave" ended with a closing ceremony, where the most active participants of the forum were awarded.
The event was held within the framework of the regional ecological week of the X Nevsky International Ecological Congress.
