A round table "Green economy as a strategy of adaptation to climate change" was held at the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan. Deputy Minister of Ecology Olga Manidicheva, employees of state bodies of the Republics of Tatarstan and Belarus, scientists and representatives of educational organizations took part in it.
The Deputy Minister of Ecology made a report on the development of an action plan for the implementation of the strategy of socio-economic development of the Republic of Tatarstan with the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
The priority directions of the green transformation of the economies of Russia and Belarus, the peculiarities of the introduction of green innovations and technologies, the problems and prospects of the introduction of a low-carbon economy, the legal foundations of a low-carbon economy, the problems of improving Russian and Belarusian legislation and its harmonization in modern conditions were also considered.
The round table was organized pursuant to paragraph 2.1. of the "Roadmap of scientific and technical cooperation of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2023-2024 in promising areas". The organizers are the Institute of Ecology and Subsoil Use Problems of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan and the State Scientific Institution "Institute of Economics of the National Economy of Belarus".
