The Ministry of Ecology held a regular meeting of the Interdepartmental Working Group on regulating the operating modes of the reservoirs of the Volga-Kama Cascade via videoconference
The meeting is held by Rosvodresurs. It was attended by members of the working group – representatives of Rosrybolovstvo, Rosmorrechflot, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia, Roshydromet, JSC "SO UES", PJSC "RusHydro", JSC "Tatenergo", and executive authorities of subjects located within the boundaries of the Volga-Kama basin.
Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexander Shadrikov and a representative of JSC Tatenergo took part in the meeting from the Republic of Tatarstan.
Traditionally, the meeting discussed the issue of establishing the operating modes of the hydroelectric reservoirs of the Volga-Kama cascade for the upcoming period: from March 21 to April 10, 2023.
It should be noted that from February 11 to March 17, the reservoir level was gradually triggered with an intensity of 1 cm per day.
The hydroelectric unit of the Kuibyshev reservoir operated in the mode of average discharge costs for the period.
In connection with the projected amount of inflow into the reservoirs of the Volga-Kama cascade for the flood period, Rosvodresurs proposed to reduce costs through the Kuibyshev reservoir hydroelectric unit, setting them in the amount of 3,000 cubic meters/s.
Taking into account the developing hydrological and water management situation in the basin of the Volga-Kama cascade, the Ministry supported the modes of operation of hydraulic units proposed by Rosvodresurs.
The established modes of operation of hydroelectric reservoirs will be published on the official website of Rosvodresurs.
