Today, a regular meeting of the Interdepartmental Working Group on regulating the modes of operation of reservoirs of the Volga-Kama Cascade was held via videoconference.
The meeting was attended by members of the working group, including representatives of Rosrybolovstvo, Rosmorrechflot, Roshydromet, RAO UES of Russia, PJSC RusHydro, JSC Tatenergo and executive authorities of the Volgograd, Astrakhan, Saratov regions, the Republic of Mari El. At the IWG Tatarstan was represented by the Minister of Ecology of the Republic Alexander Shadrikov and representatives of JSC Tatenergo.
The meeting discussed the issue of establishing the operating modes of the hydroelectric reservoirs of the Volga-Kama cascade for the period from September 16 to October 10.
Alexander Shadrikov made a proposal to reduce the discharge costs offered by Rosvodresurs through the Kuibyshev reservoir hydroelectric unit from 4600-4800 cubic meters/s to 4200-4400 cubic meters/s. According to the Minister of Ecology, the reduction of discharges is necessary to keep the water level at 51 m BS until the end of navigation this year.
