In less than a month, environmentalists inspected more than 1,000 cars during Operation Clean Air
From June to the end of September, inspectors of the territorial departments of the Ministry conduct raids to identify vehicles with excess toxicity standards. At the beginning of August, 2,953 cars were checked, to date, the total number has increased and amounts to 4,119 cars, of which 376 cars were detected with excess.
The "Clean Air" operation in Tatarstan has been taking place since 1983. The event is held by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan together with employees of the Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan. The purpose of the operation is to monitor compliance with the standards for the content of pollutants in the exhaust gases of motor vehicles and to prevent the negative impact of vehicles on the atmospheric air.
