"The trend to reduce emissions at the largest enterprises of the Republic continues," Minister Alexander Shadrikov said at a meeting with journalists

The Ministry analyzed statistics on emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere from stationary and mobile sources for the period 1991-2021. According to the results, there is a decrease in emissions from stationary sources by 44.5%, from mobile sources by 72.6%.

As of 2021, the main share among stationary sources in atmospheric air pollution is made by enterprises of the fuel industry – 59%, thermal power engineering – 17% and petrochemical industry – 21%. At the same time, emissions into the atmospheric air from fuel industry enterprises decreased by 2 times (from 231.7 thousand tons to 108.1 thousand tons), from thermal power facilities of Tatarstan decreased by more than 5 times (from 165.9 thousand tons to 31.3 thousand tons). The reasons for the decline are various measures to reduce emissions from enterprises.

So, for example, in 2021, the divisions of PJSC Tatneft installed flare systems of sootless combustion, which allowed to reduce emissions by more than 2 thousand tons.

Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexander Shadrikov drew attention to the fact that the replacement of obsolete technological equipment by enterprises at JSC Tatenergo with modern high-efficiency combined-cycle gas turbines allowed to significantly reduce emissions of pollutants into the air basin, and at PJSC Nizhnekamskneftekhim, the replacement of equipment with more modern energy-efficient equipment allowed to achieve a reduction in nitrogen dioxide emissions by 2.3 tons, carbon monoxide by 118 tons.

Also, at PJSC Kazanorgsintez, the installation of a separator, the replacement of filter elements and the return of discharged gases made it possible to reduce emissions by more than 4 tons. "As we see, the trend to reduce emissions at the largest enterprises of the Republic continues," the Minister said.

The Ministry has organized cooperation with large industrial enterprises of the republic. Mutual exchange of data on atmospheric air pollution in a continuous mode is carried out with PJSC Nizhnekamskneftekhim and PJSC Tatneft. The system of the Ministry's department receives data from 5 automatic stations of PJSC Nizhnekamskneftekhim and 3 automatic stations of PJSC Tatneft.

In total, 11.5 billion rubles were allocated from budgets of all levels for environmental protection. Including 6.8 billion invested by enterprises. According to this indicator, Tatarstan ranks first in the Volga Federal District. SIBUR and Tatneft have the largest investments.
